Designed by Ichiro Iwasaki, the Vibia Flat ceiling light reimagines ceiling illumination as an architectural composition of light and form. Defined by horizontal aluminium discs positioned at varying heights, the collection creates planes of reflected light that appear to float effortlessly overhead.
Expertly fabricated from aluminium, steel, and polycarbonate, the collection features seven distinct variations, ranging from minimalist single-disc fixtures to multi-layered compositions of two or three discs. Driven by seamlessly integrated LED technology, the surfaces are self-illuminated by reflected, indirect light, projecting an enveloping luminance that appears to radiate from within the material itself. Available in a refined palette of white, off-white, and green, including sophisticated bi-color and tri-color configurations, Flat marries structural simplicity with formal complexity to infuse spaces with a soothing sensibility.
Perfectly tailored to the disciplined principles of minimalism, modernism, and Japandi interior design, Flat offers architects and interior designers a graphic toolkit to establish an "architecture within architecture". Ichiro Iwasaki
Ichiro Iwasaki is a Japanese designer known for his refined, human-centred approach to product and lighting design. Based in Tokyo, his practice focuses on creating objects that bring comfort, clarity and emotional balance to everyday environments. His work is characterised by soft geometries, subtle detailing and a strong sensitivity to how light and objects interact with space. After gaining experience in leading design studios in Japan and Italy, Iwasaki founded his own studio in 1995. Since then, he has collaborated with major international brands, developing designs that prioritise usability, accessibility and timeless simplicity. His lighting work, in particular, reflects a calm and considered aesthetic, where function and emotion are carefully balanced to enhance contemporary living spaces with quiet elegance.
